To continue to part two of this magical day, we end with Lex and Rodney's rehearsal dinner. Lex's family is all from Maine and so their love for lobster runs deep. They had a lobster bake right on the lawn near the shore where the wedding was going to take place, and holy cow was it D-LICIOUS! My love for seafood is about as vast as the ocean and so I loved every butter-dripping moment of it. Over the five days I was on the east coast, I'm pretty sure I actually ate my weight in lobster. I have to change the subject because I'm starting to drool.
Lex and Rodney snuck away for a bit for a portrait session on the water to catch that pre-wedding giddiness and I'm so glad they did. The sun was setting, the water was still, it was a dream.
I am so thankful that after a coincidental meeting in Chicago, Lex and Rodney choose to have me be part of their wedding weekend. I love what I do and I love the couples I get to meet and share in the joy of who they are together. And, it's my absolute favorite when clients turn into friends. Lex cracked me up from the moment I met her and I really think it was providence that we met. We both currently live in Chicago and she has since decided to take the leap and launch her own photography business, Lex Nelson Photography, and I couldn't be happier to have connected with her in the midst of it all. Lex and Rodney, cheers to you, your marriage, and all of your new adventures you're diving into this year! Congrats!
