Elizabeth and Patrick || Chicago Engagement Photographer

Back when there were still leaves on the trees, Elizabeth, Patrick and I made a trip to the Chicago Botanic Gardens for a sunrise engagement shoot.  I had been wanting to photograph a couple in the Botanic Gardens forever and Elizabeth and Patrick were the absolute perfect couple to make this dream come true.  Not only are the gardens simply beautiful, but it also holds a special place for these two - it's where Patrick asked Elizabeth to be his one and only forever!  

Man, when I was witnessing Elizabeth and Patrick just be with each other, I was blown away by how great they were at holding each other.  I could feel their romance and it felt like I was watching a movie.  Elizabeth and Patrick were perfectly in love and the sunrise just made it even sweeter. 

Dominika and Kamil || Chicago Engagement Photography

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love being outdoors in the woods.  In the woods, on a mountain, at the beach, in a lake - if it's in nature, I want to be there. When I met Dominika and Kamil, it was magnetic.  Their vision for their wedding day and photography matched up with mine and I fell in love quickly.  When they said they wanted to do their engagement photos somewhere in nature where it didn't look like they were in the city, I was overjoyed.  I'm pretty sure I squealed. 

Instantly, I thought of this forest where Steve and I had our engagement photos taken by Stoffer Photography.  It's such a wonderful place and I had been keeping it in the back of my mind for a couple that would equally love it.  I am thrilled with this session. Obsessed, even.  I can't wait for you to see it!  

Even more so, I can't wait for Dominika and Kamil's wedding next year at The Ivy Room. Dominika and Kamil, you guys are awesome and I wish I could hang out with you everyday!
